Supplied in: Self colour or zinc plated hinge with self colour hinge butts and stainless steel pin.
Use: For containers etc, parts supplied assembled ready to weld in place. Weld-on stepped back design, bushed to suit Ø12.7mm hinge pin. Suitable for use as replacement or new on shipping container doors as the 80mm width is the same as most current designs made by the large container manufacturers. Stepped back clears door seals.Hinge pin fully welded to the hinge butts at both ends.
BCP19067 brass washers are fitted on both sides of the hinge (making it univeral or unhanded) as spacers to prevent wear, paint damage and corrosion in use. They also increase security by reducing/eliminating gaps between hinges and hinge brackets/butts which makes cutting of the hinge pins/bolts more difficult (if thieves attempt to cut through the washers instead, they can spin on the pin/bolt which again makes cutting more difficult).
